John Fustian Trousers

In this version, the John is crafted from 100% cotton fustian, a compact and warm fabric with a slightly soft and velvety surface. In the Violet variant, the depth of the shade is further enhanced by the particular surface of the fustian, which absorbs light and yields a rich, textured color.

The construction retains all the model's distinctive elements: high waist with double pleats, spacious side pockets, and buttons attached to the waistband for the use of suspenders. The fit remains comfortable in the upper part and falls naturally along the leg, recalling the proportions of traditional British sartorial trousers.

Fustian is a 100% cotton fabric with a compact structure, traditionally appreciated for its durability and its distinctively warm and soft hand.

The surface undergoes a process that slightly raises the fabric's fibers, creating the characteristic velvety feel that distinguishes fustian from standard cotton canvas. The result is a substantial yet comfortable material, particularly suitable for colder seasons and capable of gaining more character with use.

Compared to wool, fustian offers a different hand: more compact, dry, and uniform, while maintaining that textural presence that pairs particularly well with the traditional construction of the John model.
