The natural wave of the fiber — the so-called crimp — gives the knit body, elasticity, and that particular ability to trap air and heat.

The hand: dry, rustic, alive

This is precisely where this cardigan distinguishes itself from a worsted merino or cashmere. Shetland wool has a dry and slightly rustic hand, with a surface that is not perfectly smooth.
